STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13TH
What does it mean to be faithful?
To be faithful is first listen to God’s voice. Listen to God’s voice in prayer, in worship in the study of the Scriptures and in one another’s lives as we minister to each other and out in the community. After we hear God’s voice, the next step is to trust. Trust that God, the one who created all that is, the one who redeems and sustains all that is, trust that he will provide. God gives us what we need, in our lives and corporately as Christ’s church. As we hear God’s voice and we trust in God’s providence, lastly we respond. We respond to God’s call, to be his people and to give to God the things that are his. We respond joyfully, giving thanks for all that we have and all that we are; for these are gifts from God. Gifts that we are to be stewards of; gifts that we are to use for the furthering of God’s kingdom.
MEET THE CANDIDATES
On Stewardship Sunday, September 13th, the candidates for elective office will be introduced to the parish at both services. Ballots will be mailed out on the September 14th to be returned on or before October 1st to the church office.
