Community Blood Drive

A blood drive will be held at Trinity on Friday, October 3, from 9-1.  In response to a request from the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, Trinity will ask that our donations be given to St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston.  Walk-ins are accepted.

Blessing of the Animals

On October 5, at the 10:30 AM service, Trinity will host the annual Blessing of the Animals service outside on the south lawn.  After a brief worship service, all animals will receive individual blessings.  There will be a bouncey castle for the children, hot dogs and chips for snacks, and wonderful fellowship.  Please have all animals in cages or leashed.

Bring donations of dry pet food and clean towels for the area pet shelters.

Hurricane Ike Food Drive

The Episcopal Diocese of Texas has named St. David's as one of three drop-off sites in Central Texas for non-perishable food items that will be sent to evacuees and displaced families.  They are asking for the following items only:

Peanut butter, Jelly, Canned tuna/chicken/chili/pasta, Dry cereal, non-refrigerated milk, Cereal bars, Saltines or other crackers, Nuts, Pop-top canned food, Cookies, Boxed juice, Dry Beans, Rice, Paper towels, Toddler diapers-sizes 2-6

All donations are appreciated, but, it is particularly helpful when items are donated by the case, as this is easier to transport and distribute.

St. David's has rented a 2-Ton POD to fill with these items.  Please drop off donations at St. David's Episcopal church, 304 East 7the St., during Church hours.  Donations must be received from all Austin Convocation congregations by Monday, October 6.  Cash donations can also be given for Home Depot and Randall gift cards.  For more information, contact Susie at 512-472-1196.

Thank you for your assistance in this manner.
